About me

I have been painting bobbins for thirty years now and have customers all over the world. It is not possible to show every design but the Bobbins Gallery will give you a good idea of my painting style.

I use mainly Stuart Johnson's bobbins which are always popular with lacemakers and some other bobbin makers too. All bobbins are coated with several coats of varnish to protect the design. As they are handpainted, slight variations may arise and please note that I do not recommend the use of bobbin winders as they can damage the bobbins.

I am happy to spangle bobbins for you but the beads may not be exactly the same as those shown as the bead stock changes all the time however I can assure you that the colours will be matched to the colouring in the bobbin.
